Just got home from the gym and I have to say I love feeling all sweaty after a good workout.  I realize now that weight loss and getting fit is all about laziness and I have been extremely lazy for the last ten years.  It was always easier to look in the freezer for a frozen pizza than to plan something fresh and healthy.  I'm hoping because this contest is so long that it will change my bad habits forever!  You just have to stay focused and positive.  When I look in the mirror I don't want to be old AND fat.  Gotta get rid of one of them!

Blog #4

I have to admit that I love to eat, but I hated that guilty feeling every time I knew I was eating the wrong foods.  It may taste good (or great) for a moment, but that feeling doesn't last.  As they say, "a minute on the lips, a lifetime on the hips" is so true.  What is nice about eating healthy, is that I'm not starving myself.  I eat small snacks, good snacks, all through the day.  It would be easier to keep busy if the weather wasn't so terrible, too, but I guess we just have to be patient.  So sorry to see Laura leave.  You can tell she has  a heart of gold and is really pulling for each and every one of us.  I wish her the best of luck in her new adventures!

Really looking forward to nicer weather and taking the dog for long walks in the park.  This cold, snow and freezing temps are so depressing.  I have been dragging myself to the gym every morning at 5am.  I think I am a zombie when I get there, but feel so good when leaving.  Even my drive to work is a little more tolerable because I feel I've accomplished something for the day.  Now I am looking forward to Monday's meal at Aladdin's!

This contest has definitely made me aware of my bad eating habits.  I used to hate putting just a tablespoon of leftovers in the fridge and I hated throwing any food away, so I would just eat it instead of "wasting" it.  And guess what?  It would go to my waist!  Well, no more of that!  I found that if I can change even a few bad habits, I'm well on my way to a healthier me!
